Myofascia is the three-dimensional connective tissue all around the body which supports the muscles, organs and bones, formed of collagen and elastin and it plays a key role in the body's movement and overall balance.
Myofascial Release treatment or MFR for short, focuses on the soft tissue dysfunction, tension and holding patterns, involves gentle sustained pressure using hands, tools or cups.
This treatment uses specialised tools for working superficially on the skin and connective tissue. After their use IASTM tools leave petechiae which is a light bruising/redness in the area that can last for a few days or weeks depending on the treatment.
Myofascial Decompression or Dry Cupping is a technique that uses a vacuum on the
epidermis which creates a suction that decompresses the Myofascia (aka connective tissue)
releasing it thus allowing the muscle and tissues to move more freely.
After cupping the client will show some petechiae which is a light bruising/redness in the
area that can last for a few days or weeks depending on the treatment.
Myofascial Release Massage is a hands-on, manual therapy which focuses on the fascia/connective tissue dysfunction, pain and holding patterns, it involves gentle sustained pressure and it is done without any medium.
